  1. This is the comment the newswoman made: "today's young players should "lynch Tiger Woods in a back alley." HOW is that racist in ANY way? Tiger woods is of mixed race, so ummmm which one was she attacking? It is a JOKE, with NO racist undertones-(where are they???) i think even Tiger understood that, thats why he took it in stride.

  2. Al Sharpton , the race baiter, won't have it that way. Pretty soon there may be jail sentences for saying the "wrong"  thing , like in Germany.

Lighten up Mr. Sharpton and get that HUGE chip off your shoulder.

  3. but why would anyone suggest anyone be lynched in a back alley- the word itself has racial undertones now no matter what the context

  4. The suspension is a good thing.  It is not as though she can't afford it. She probably makes more in 2 weeks as most in a year.

She will learn from it. I'm not impressed with her play-by-play skills, so hopefully she improves.  Faldo is awesome and a pretty underated player and announcer.

Mark Rolfing is pretty good and I hope he steps in.

  5. They only do this to appease Al sharpton.

  6. George Lynch is one h**l of a guitarist

  7. let it go. No one actually cares but AL Sharpton. And if he cares, the world shoudn't

  8. A text out of context is a pretext and hence meaningless. In context she meant this was the only way young golfer's might beat him, it was a joke.  but...lynch, verb,1)To execute without due process of law, especially to hang, as by a mob. Hmm! I don't see black or Asian or white or tan in the definition. Don't see Asians whining, he is half Asian but, 100% American!!!! Last time I checked many whites had been lynched, as well as Mormons, Salem Witches,American Indians, most weren't black!! No reason for him to be offended. It isn't in the definition. Commentator should not miss a day of work.  Howard Stern does worse everyday.

  9. The inappropriate use of words can be a very detrimental.  The deeper implication of the word "lynching" has direct ties to the African-American history.  Indifferent of any dictionary definition, the term "lynch" has solely been used in the manner to describe one of the brutal actions used to disrespect and intimidate African-Americans. You had never heard the term "lynching" in regards to any other race of people. Heinous dictators (even Saddam) are hung, criminals of old were hung, BLACK PEOPLE are(& were) lynched. Not saying that I agree with the recommended course of action (final termination of her job), but serious action must be taken. To the previous responders, unless you can trace your family history back and find an ancestor who was "lynched" out of hate...you just can't understand why the use of such words is a serious offense.

  10. Because Tiger Woods is a gentleman and a great sportsman.

I think he knows that these words were not meant in a derogatory way.  He has a brain and uses it.  Besides.. if they did offend him, then I am sure he is more than capable of  going up to this reporter and asking her just what the h**l she meant.  The fact that he didn't shows just how little  the whole thing meant to him.

Sharpton on the other hand is so racist that he looks for any excuse whatsoever.

I doubt Tiger would thank him for all this silly  publicity.

  11. I was surprised she was suspended too.  After Tiger said it didn't mean anything, then his attorney said it meant nothing, and lastly she said she didn't mean anything by it then why she still getting suspended.  I have no clue.  I think it's to show the other anchors that just by saying it you can get in trouble and hopefully nobody else will slip up.  That's the only thing I can think of.
