Question:

If time stretches back infinitely how did we even arrive at this present point in time?

Let's say that God created the universe or that the big bang happened x-years ago. Now what happened one hundred, ten million, or one hundred trillion years before this. The point is time appears to be able to stretch back infinitely into the past; therefore, how is it even possible that we even arrived at this present point in time?

  1. This is the way I see it:  In terms of ALL THAT IS, there was no begining, and there is no ending.  Having stated that, I shall clarify that statement and add that the One I referred to as ALL THAT IS, is the Zero Point Energy field, the Infinitte Presence, the Eternal, the Infinite, the One that is all that is Universal, and It has always existed and always will exist, in all dimensions, all worlds parallel and adjacent to this one.

In addition to that, having defined ALL THAT IS as a "steady state", as the basis of, the foundation of, the core of, the origin of all existence, I am asserting that the One that is ALL THAT IS is comprised of countless dimensions, some of which have forward "time" as we think of it, some of which have "time" going backwards and some of which do not have "time" at all.

Having stated that, I assert that all the various worlds in all the unlimited numbers of dimensions were not formed at the same time, in practical experience, although they have always existed inside the mind of the One that is ALL THAT IS.

In every dimension are sets of definitions, rules, laws, etc that all conscious beings in said dimension agreed to, as they particiated in the creation of said dimension, at what may be called the "big bang" of THAT PARTICULAR dimension and all its unique worlds and places of being.

Just like a pot full of pop corn kernels heats up and then all the kernels of corn begin popping, if you would allow a full pot of pop corn kernels to cook, the popped corn would fly out the top of the pot, in no obvious "order", but perfectly according to the application of heat to the underside of the pot, the quantity of pop corn kernels inside the pot, room barometric pressure, composition of the pot, and so forth.

Thus it is with the entire Kosmos, with all the infinite number of dimensions of and with all the infinite number of Universes of ALL THAT IS.

Each dimension, and all of its unique almost uncountable number of Universes inside said dimension, has its own "big bang" ("pop") and then it is born into practical reality, and flies out of the "pot", leaving the other un-popped kernels, that are still in the "pot".  That is when "time" begins for THAT particular dimension.

However, where "time" is, there is always The Present moment, the Now, the Eternal everpresent moment, and THIS is where we live, and move and have our being.  Even though in any given dimension where "time" exists, there is the eternal everpresent moment, and even though THIS eternal Now is always changing, said change is always a product of the joint efforts of all beings participating in the co-creating of same....in the present moment, which is the only time we may be creative, productive, consciously present and alive as human beings, built up by our spiritual selves, and by our personal experiences..

  2. Your logic is underwhelming.  First, time does not stretch back.   Time is not a dimension like other dimensions.  You can't go backward in time to the same spatial coordinates that you are at.  Second, "we" have not arrived at this point in time from an infinite time back.  "We" have been born less than 100 years or so, and thus "our" existance is limitied to that part in time.   "We" know that "others" occupied a different part of the time dimension, and that "we" descend from them.

  3. The theory goes that the Big Bang created space AND time, so asking what was before the Big Bang is a meaningless question.

  4. Time appears to stretch back infinitely, but time is created along with space when the universe came into existence. Before that time, time itself did not exist. Or all information was lost and the time has reset itself!

  5. Maybe time is just one big circle and not a straight line.

  6. We will never know with certainty but it is interesting that you occupy your mind with this thoughts.

  7. In a stretch limo.
