  1. It is possible if one of the parents carries the trait for blue eyes. Most caucasian babies are born w/ bluish-gray eyes, with their eye color changing several times until 6 months to a year. My husband has brown eyes and mine are green, but we have two blue-eyed children.

  2. I'm Indian and my sister has steel blue eyes.

My parents have brown eyes but my uncle has blue eyes.

  3. Its all about genetics. Black parents can have a baby with red hair, I saw that on Judge Hackett when the father was sueing for a paternity test. The red hair could have come from either one of there great great grandparents who wasn't black. That person might not have even had red hair, but maybe one of his or her ancestors did.

Your baby is less likely to have blue eyes, but it is not an absolute.

And yes, caucasian babys are normally born with blue eyes.

  4. Both my parents have brown eyes.  I have green.  The only reason for that is is that my dad's grandpa had green eyes.  So yeah, if its possible for green, then its surely possible for blue.

as for the second question, im not sure.

  5. Eyes are not simple gene pools, there are a lot of alleles contributing to that, so possibly, based on the recessive genes you guys carry, our family history of blue eyes, and a little bit o' luck!

  6. If they both have a recessive gene for blue eyes then yes they can have a baby with blue eyes.

My dad has blue eyes and my mom has brown eyes so my mom has a recessive blue eyes gene.

  7. almost all white babies are born with blue eyes but they usually change by six weeks, my parents both have brown, but me and my sis are green, me and my bfs are green and my daughters are blue.. you never know if you both have the recessive gene

  8. yes, because actually both my parents are mexican , my father is really dark with black hair, & my mother is lighter but with hazel eyes.

However I turned out with pure green eyes & golden brown hair , pale skin & rosy cheeks.

  9. If you both carry a recessive gene for blue eyes, then the baby could be born with blue eyes.

  10. It is not true that all babies are born with blue eyes.  I don't know of any Italian babies who have blue eyes. My son didn't have blue eyes either.

If two people have brown eyes, yes, they can make a baby with blue eyes if only one is recessive for blue eyes. If never has a recessive gene for blue eyes, then it is not possible for the eyes to remain blue, if they are blue at birth.

  11. Yes. If some people in your family(no matter how distant) have blue eyes it is possible for you to carry that gene and pass it on. Usually, then in the first few months it will change to the "real" color.
