Question:

If two white mice mate will all of their babies be white?

She only had 4 little ones. But I have another one that will be having babies in about 2 weeks.

  5. There's a small chance one or two could be different.

  6. Assuming white is the dominant allele, there could be a non-white offspring if both parents are hybrids (they'd be white but still carry the recessive non-white allele). There would be a 1 in 4 chance an offspring would get the recessive allele from both parents and be brown or black or whatever. Any other combination would result in the dominant allele being expressed and the offspring would be white.

  10. It depends. Most likely, but a grandma mouse or great great grandpa mouse may have been black, and therefore the babies can be black or brown or whatever. It is a recessive trait (:
