if textbooks have the same edition and isbn numbers but are purblished in different years (like 2002 and 2003) do they have the same content?

  1. If it's the same edition and isbn#, yes they have the same info.  They might have printed some in 2002 and then printed some more in 2003, but it's the same book.  If they have any significant changes, they have to call it another edition and therefore another isbn#.


  2. Yes, because if they have the same content it just means they had to print more copies in 2003. They'd have to call it a different edition if they changed the information, therefore they'd have a different isbn number.

  3. yes, different publishing dates only means that they had to print more for the demand.  it's the edition that is important.  writers update info in each edition, so that a different edition is essentially a different book.
