  1. more than likely no! i understand all that about sugar turns in to fat, but if all you eat is fruits and veggies and dont go over your calorie intake you will not gain fat.  anyway fruit is good for you, but make sure you eat veggies also!

  2. Our bodies are designed to turn stuff into fat. Sugar, animal fat, veggie fat, carbs, even excess protein can be turned into fat.

Bottom line is diets don't work, only life style changes work.

  3. yea u can gain fat

  4. no. also, you need to eat a certain amount of fat to be healthy. fat free products have actually been shown to have a negative effect on your health contrary to popular opinion. your brain is mostly fat. do you want to lose that too? maybe its too late!

  5. False.

Unused carbohydrates and proteins can turn into fat. In fact, carbs turn into fat fairly easily. Fruit is a carbohydrate so it can turn into fat if the carbohydrates it contains are not converted to energy. This, however, is unlikely if you have an active lifestyle.

  6. No, you gain fat when you eat more calories then you expend regardless of where they came from (protein, carb, or fat) The reason that fat is more likely to make you gain weight is because it has more calories per gram then either protein or carbs. (fat has 9 calories per gram rather then 4 for both protein and carb).

Fruits are good because they are low in calorie and high in fiber and other nutrients that your body needs to support itself, but your body needs other nutrients as well. Your body NEEDS fat in order to function properly (for example, to manufature hormones), so you do need some dietary source of fat.
