well to make a long story short i have BASIC wireless 2.4ghz camera the sends video to a rf receiver through radio transmission. I have obtained a basic cable converter that converts radio waves into video. I want to know if I could use the basic cable box to convert the radio transmissions into video if i attach a antenna if if doesn't already have one built in.

  1. No.

Wireless security cameras, when purchased new, come with a base station that is on the same frequency as the camera. They are paired. This frequency is not in the general "broadcast television" frequency range. The base station converts that 2.4 GHz wireless signal from the camera into something the TV can use through the analog (composite) yellow RCA video in jack.

The "basic converter box" you have takes digital broadcast TV signals and converts them to the signal your TV can use - and can select the different channels that broadcast signals are sent on. These frequencies are not in the ISM band the 2.4 GHz security camera uses. Attaching an antenna won't do anything - the electronics in the converter box can't even see or understand the 2.4 GHz signal.
