Question

for an assignment i need to find examples of stuf dat hav happened which AREN'T showing the legendary ANZAC traits. -sacrifice-determination-mateship-courag... in australia.

Stuff that have made headlines in newspapers, or u might have seen on tv, such as massive fights that might have occured in sydney or melbourne.

Ive been able to find them for stuff that happened which HAVE demonstrated these values-such as the miners who got trapped but survived (determination-to survive) but have been hopeless for the negative side....

I'm not very smart, but hope this helps. What about neighbourly help, helping our mates like the old days. People are dying alone and not been found for days even years. Where's the spirit of community care for each other. We used to know the people in our streets, the children used to play all together. Now, nothing. People just turn away. Why do we walk past and over the ill lying on the ground, the poor, the homeless, in our own society. There was a time when people care more. That's what is missing today, our mateship, our bonds. I feel that should be part of the ANZAC Spirit, where people helped and relied on each other.

Courage: you could refer to Australia's relationship with the US/UK. Talk about the government not having the guts to stand up to larger countries and go against their wishes in policy making.

Determination: talk about lack of determination of many Australians in tackling climate change. Many people dismiss it as something to deal with later - therefore determination is not shown.

Sacrifice: many Australians don't sacrifice luxuries relating to water which is making the drought worse. People in the cities have cheap water and waste it, whereas many people in the country have to pay several dollars just for a shower.
