If u plant veg. as seeds do u have to thin them out and how do u do that.I don't like to do.takes too long?

i planted radishes. look great, but i have to thin them out????

  1. You will need to thin them or most won't grow to any size. Next time try Square Foot Gardening. No thinning, minimal weeding, less area for bigger crops.


  2. Just use scissors and clip the tops off the little ones crowding.

  3. You need to thin your radishes as soon as possible.  It is recommended that you do it just as soon as they emerge from the soil since they grow very rapidly, some reach eating size in less than a month, and need the space promptly.  If you don't thin them they won't grow much or will be deformed and spindly.  Thin them to about one and one half inches apart.  Just pull the ones you want to move out of the dirt.  It doesn't take long at all.
