I will give a general answer.

Most engineers are computer engineers (software engineers) and they earn at least 20k rupees per month during their first year of work.

This keeps increasing at a rate of 20% each year.

Most engineers I know are not computer engineers.

Per month starting in pretty much any sector will be in the $3,500 to $5,000 range.

Please don't base your discipline selection on salary. They are all very similar, think about what you like and what things you would like to do to aid your selection. Also, most first year engineering programs start out general so you can get a feel for all that is out there.
