Question:

If u sit up in bed and stare at the sky or rest, will that give u the same amount of energy as sleeping would?

like if youre in your bed like....daydreaming or just lying down with your eyes closed, will that still give you energy in the morning?

i'm just asking this because it takes me like 2 hours to fall asleep and i'm afraid i dont have enough energy...

  1. No.  Your body actually needs sleep itself, including all stages of it, in order to completely rest, rest, and to re-charge. It's not just about having more energy, but much, much more complex than that.  There are actually psychiatric and physical disorders caused by lack of good quality sleep.  Delta sleep, or stage 4, is very critical because it's during this time; your body needs it tissue repair, beefing up your immune system, etc.  Lying in bed and resting is also good for you, but does not do what sleep does.
