As per IPL norms only 4 foreign players cane be in the playing 11.  Since ShaulPollock, Sanath Jayasuriya and Bravo have been regular players, only one more foreign players can be included in the playing 11. Lasith Malinga has been recovering from the injury and as such they do not want to take the risk of playing him when other fully fit players are available.
