ok...i wanna kno who REALLY: Michael Phelps or the guy who who wuz in the lane next 2 him who wuz ahed of him @ 1st but then came in 2nd. i think Phelps came in 2nd but...idk. & i dont want "Phelps won" cuz ur a Phelps fan! i want honest answers!

The computer frame by frame showed that Phelps won. The frames were at 1/1000 of a second each. Phelps won, it had nothing to do with the system. Milorad Cavic of Serbia saw the breakdown of the tape and admitted he lost. Before the video tape was viewed in this format, his coaches wanted to protest. The protest has been dropped.

technically cihlo (idk how to spell it) won but the timing system that they have there is just like a track one that catches the first thing to pass or touch. So the guy touched first but since Phelps has such long reach he was able to touch it harder than the other dude. Its a messed up timing system because some times the other guys are first but its jsut a matter of who gets to the system first not the "line"

Phelps really did win, but it's so close that the human eye could never be able to discern between the two swimmers.  It's what they used to call a photo finish.  Now, we thankfully have computers to do the job for us.

he really did win. i wouldn't call myself a phelps fan, i think he is just really good. but he did win and i dont think he has lost any yet
