No, it won't help.  There's been no proven connection between nutmeg and weight loss, and in high concentrations nutmeg can cause stomach problems and even, in rare cases, hallucinations.  Caffeine, when consumed in large quantities, causes a slight increase in metabolism but not enough to cause noticeable weight loss.

    Sorry, but the old advice holds true: eat less, exercise more.  It's the only way that works, and there aren't any shortcuts.

  4. Diet and excercise...it's really very simple, you just have to buckle down and do it.

  5. nutmeg in your coffee?? nutmeg is a sedative and coffee is an upper. But sorry that won't help you to lose weight.

    Must give over on the snackies and the starchy veggies and other starchy stuff. And do your exercising!!

    really nothing works like changing your eating habits to less carby starchy foods and exercise. If you read most diet things the one thing they stress is the exercising!!!

Apart from flavouring the coffee, the nutmeg wouldn't do much to help you lose weight.  Nutmeg is reported to help lower blood pressure, sooth a stomach ache as well as stop diarrhea and help to detoxify the body.  There are many other uses of nutmeg.  However, be warned that taking more than 30grams (approx. 6 tablespoons) in one day is very harmful as that amount of nutmeg is toxic and can cause serious problems.

    One thing I just remembered, and I don't know for certain if it's true or not, cinnamon is supposed to be good for helping you lose weight.  

    Every morning, on an empty stomach, half an  hour before breakfast, and again at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one cup water.

    If taken regularly it reduces the weight of even the most obese person.

    Also drinking of this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to accumulate in the body, even though the person may eat a high calorie diet.

    I think it is 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon and 2 teaspoons of honey in a cup of boiled water.  As i said, I don't know if this works, but what have you got to lose (at least cinnamon and honey don't taste too bad!!!).
