  1. As a result of you having to travel to earn an employment income you are eligible to write off certain expenses. Essentially anything that relates to you arning that income...airfare...meals...lodging...car rentals...gas for the car rental...long distance phone calls which relate to the business or phone cards...cell phone. As long as your employer is willing to fill out form t2200 and sign that you have not been reimbursed for these expenses already. Some companies prepay for flights which is why you need this form signed. You do not have to hand it in with your tax, but you must retain a copy in case revenue Canada asks to see it. (for auditing purposes in the future you must retain this for 7 years). Hope this helps.

  2. YES, KEEP TRACK OF THE PURPOSE OF THE TRIP. ALSO YOU ARE ABLE TO CLAIM MEALS.

  3. Yes, but only if your company supplies you with a T2200 Conditions of Employment.
