  1. Bush-Leaguers

  2. We could be Elizabethans (like Victorians) but probably people of the Windsor period (like Tudors, Stewart's etc.) to include the short reigns of other post WWI monarchs. The name could be something completely different, ultimately we will be called what ever the future people of our country want call us by.

  3. idiots for still having a monarch!

  4. Journalists haven't come up with a name for the decade--let alone coming up with a name for an entire era.  Since the Cold War ended in 1989, some social theorists have referred to contemporary events as happening in the Post Modern Period, and around the year 2000, historians were talking about "the end of history", but that was before 9-11.  Tony Blair would have liked to call his time in office a period of Neo-Liberalism, but that didn't catch on either.

Elizabeth II's reign might even be divided into two time periods (1952-1999, or perhaps 2000, and 2001 -- ?).  Hang around for a half a century; and if civilization survives,  historians will have a label for this time in history.

  5. Back in the 'fifties, when the present queen was crowned, all the newspapers said we were "The New Elizabethans."

  6. Nothing, this era isn't given a name because the Queen isn't as influential as Victoria or the first Elizabeth were.

  7. Brits!

  8. We are Elizabethans.

  9. Modern Elizabethans
