  1. Most of the time, the "ghosts" or "spirits" are conjured up through the imaginations of the people wanting to see things either by legends of a place, or just the sheer spookiness of it.  Most anomalies have perfectly reasonable and explainable causes...Orbs - dust or moisture,  Mists - breath of the photographer or someone else in the room, Faces in windows - dirty windows and light reflections.  I have however experienced some real phenomena.  In a residence with no known history, I had poltergeist activity.  Children's balls would follow us around ( no drafts or pathways in the carpeting ), doors would rattle, open and close violently, things would go flying off of tables at you, etc.  Other than that, I may have heard footsteps in an old abandoned hospital, but there was no way of knowing if there were trespassers, or if it was just our echos.

  2. I rarely get any real paranormal activity, usually it can be explained away with common sense and a little construction knowledge. My team consist of an electrical contractor, plumber, and a general contractor/ framer. So usually we can get to the bottom of an issue without stating paranormal.

However I have one investigation where the EMF readings were off the chart. The person had it repaired and then called us back out, because they were still having some things happen. We did a sweep and in fact the EMF readings were almost nonexistent, and wires were well run and double insulated. That home did have activity and we were able to get some not a lot of evidence that may lead to an actual paranormal claim. This is still an ongoing investigation, and I will not jump to a haunting claim yet.

But yes 90+ % of the time we can't prove or assume paranormal. That is why people love it when they get actual evidence of something they can't explain. It is for the anticapation of the thrill, at least for me.

  3. I live in New Orleans, one of the most Active areas in the country.  I rarely fail to capture Paranormal Anomalies on camera, EVP's, Thermal scanners or with my 4-camera surveillance system while Investigating many of the Victorian and pre-Victorian homes and mansions in the Garden District of the city.  Also there are many Active spots in the out-lying areas.  My latest Investigation captured my personal contact with a long-dead female servant at a huge brick mansion.  I offered my hand, palm forward, and she placed her own to mine.  It's all on video.  It was a very exciting moment!

  4. most of my researches in the paranormal have not  sparked within myself  anything paranormal ....but like they say  if you stand  close to the fire you are likely  to get  burned

  5. If I hear of a site that is quiet active, I like to go back to that place at least 6 different times to make a better evaluation.

Some nights the readings are off the charts, and other nights everything is pretty quiet.

To do a more accurate investigation, one has to go in with an open mind, and try to debunk the obvious.

If I'm in a building that is old, I take into consideration that the creaking noises or sounds of rocks being thrown could very well be from a weak structural frame.

Cold spots could be from drafts.

    And I discount orbs altogether.

I prefer to go into a spot and speak to anyone there like I would another human being.

And I'll leave the room while a voice recorder is on, or video camera is rolling.

I also prefer to investigate abandoned buildings.

Without electricity, there would be no interference from TVs or radios.

All sounds would come from the investigators.

  6. That is actually a fine line.  I have had people I knew to be honest, hardworking people come to our group for an investigation.  There is no way that person made up or imbellished what was happening with them and their property.  But We were unable as a group to pick up on or get and audio or visual evidence in that case after several trys.  If I had went on the assumption that my firend knows what is happening I would have been very disapointed indeed.

About 85 to 90 % can have an natural explaination.  Not sure that it is always the right one, but I think you have to into any investigation with a show me attitude.   And sometimes...they do.

  7. If I would be a ghost investigator I would have more exp.the supernatural on all my investigations because I am a ghost inv. and naturaly without exp. I can't be that.
