  1. I live part of the year on Paradise island in the Bahamas, and I love it here.  There are so many great young people here, and I have never felt more welcomed moving someplace.  The people are wonderful and the islands are beautiful.   I know it's so hard to leave friends, but think of the place they will have to visit and you can be their tour guide!

You should do some internet research on the area and look at pictures, it will be fun to learn about someplace new and maybe that will help you look forward to coming here.  The people here will welcome you with open arms and make sure you feel comfortable!

Good luck - I think should this move come about, that you will end up being very excited!

  2. Your parents are being selfish. They should not move to someplace like that until you are able to live on your own. Tell then that unless they are running from the law or something they need to stay right where they are until you have grown up.

If they refuse and try and move you out of the country, then find a relative like an Aunt or Uncle that will take you in temporarily.

The Bahamas are a great place for adults and older teens that are mature enough to deal with the laid back life style, but your wishes should be a part of the deal. If they disagree then you may have to go to court and get emancipated.

  3. Trust me, the Bahamas and St. Thomas are WONDERFUL places to live. You want to stay in KANSAS??? Are you KIDDIN ME?!?!?!

  4. Maybe you can get a better education there than where you obviously are living at present. Do you seriously think any of us are going to take you into consideration when it appears you cannot construct one sentence without a spelling mistake. Enjoy the sunshine sweetie and be grateful.

  5. Go...............it appears you need them.

  6. You move.  They are the parents.  You are the child.  You can keep in touch with your friends via the internet and the phone, can't you?  Obviously they have teh intrawebs in Kansas, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Go new places, explore the world!  You only live once, and allowing your experiences to be held back by your friends is only cheating you out of an experience you may cherish for the rest of your life!

So, accept that you're going, and don't fight against it.  People are much happier with the way their lives go if they just accept things without fighting against everything.

  7. Since they are still responsible for you, you will go with them. I'm sure they have thought about all of the pros and cons of moving.

You will be the envy of all your friends. They can visit. You will meet new friends. You will be happy once you are settled in your new home.

Good Luck and enjoy the islands)

  8. As hard as it would be to leave all your friends please believe me when I tell you this could be the best thing that ever happens to you.  What an amazing opportunity.  Life is what you make it, if you make yourself miserable then you will be, if you make yourself happy then you will be.  Go, enjoy an unbelievable experience, keep in touch with your friends in KS and make new friends on St.Thomas, you'll have friends in both places and eventually you'll think of both places as home.

P.S. St. Thomas is a US Virgin Island and not in the Bahamas.  Their language is English and they are governed by the same rules and laws as the US.

  9. i think it depends on your age and if you are younger you should go but if you are around the age of 18 make your own decisions.

  10. sorry but as long as u live under your parents rules u cant do anyhting until your 18 and away at collge
