  1. No. Selective service registration has nothing to do with voting.


  2. No. You register for the selective service at the Post Office and it is required by law.

    No one is required to register to vote and you cannot do it at the Post Office (as the poster above explained).

  3. You must register to vote in the county or other specific locality in your state.  Check your county seat for voter registration office.  Sometimes it is done at the sheriff's office where driver's licenses are issued or the license branch.   You will need a couple of IDs.   Call for your specific guidelines.  Most places require you to be registered at least 30 days before an election.  Good for you for asking to be ready to vote.
