If urine is deep yellow color, that means that it is concentrated urine. So is it good or bad?

I think it's good right? Because there's more solutes in urine, which means a lot of wastes are being secreted out of our body. So that means lot of water is reabsorbed into the bloodstream & transported to different body cells that need water to function?

But my mom said that means you're dehydrated, and you need to drink more water, so that's a bad condition to have concentrated urine.

  1. i have always heard both are good or bad. if it is too clear it means your kidneys are not getting rid of all the waste. and ive heard too yellow means you are dehydrated.  I guess maybe in the middle is best. not too yellow and not clear looking.  I would like to know myself.

  2. BAD! It means you are very dehydrated and need water ASAP. And if you drink too much water it will become a light yellow color which also is not good for you.

  3. it is bad because the darker it is, the less dehydrated you are, you want it to be clear

  4. Unless it has been four to eight hours since you last emptied your bladder, your urine shouldn't be so concentrated.

Urine should be very pale yellow to clear, unless you are taking vitamins or medication.  (i.e. pyridium or multivitamins.)

It's bad to dehydrate yourself so that your urine is darker.  Your kidneys have a full-time job filtering all those solutes out of your blood.  If you don't have enough water in your system, the kidneys can get clogged up.  This can lead to kidney problems, such as nephritis and kidney stones.

Listen to your mom.  She's on the right track.

  5. the darker the urine means that you are dehydrated the more fluids and water you ahve in your sytem the lighter your urine will be, usually your trying for urine thta is a light apple juice color

  6. clear=lots of water

  7. It's bad. You want your urine to be the color of lemonade. Anything darker means you're not getting enough water. (Yes, you need water to function, but one of the most important functions of water is flushing out toxins!)

  8. Your mom's right.  If your urine is dark yellow, you're dehydrated and need to drink more water so that you're not making your kidneys work so hard (which is not good for them and could lead to things like kidney stones (very painful).

  9. it means ur dehydrated ur body is holding back nitrogen whih is why it smells so bad and when ur hydrated it releases nitrogen and doesnt smell just drink water but dont chug aot of cups(you will throw up) keep a glass of water with u and sip it every few min

  10. u are secreting the same amount of waste no matter what color ur urine is........the difference is that u have less water in ur urine when it is clearer, but it is clearer because that means u have an excess amount of water in your body indicating that you are hydrated....

if ur urine is a deep yellow that means that you have a smaller amount of water and the urine is more concentrated.....this isbad because it means that you have a low amount of water in ur body indicating you are dehydrated......

    clear=good :)

    ALSO!!!!

if your kidneys aren't functioning right then you will begin to see blood in ur urine.....it wont become clearer

  11. You want your pee to look like water.  that's good urine.  hey are filter out everything.  if you're urine is always yellow, worry about kidney stones in the future.

  12. It means you're dehydrated. Drink some water. And yes, it does have to be water. Despite what they tell you on the side of Coke 12-packs, soda dehydrates you.

  13. yes very bad, if it gets too dark you need to go to the doctor because its a sign of major dehydration and is a serious problem

  14. Your mom is right.

  15. I believe that its bad. My doctor told me once that i needed to drink more water!! The clearer your urine is, the better!! Start drinking water!
