I am always impressed with usc ( execept losing to stanford) and the sec. I think usc or a sec team will win the national title or maybe a big 12 team.

  1. I think you are correct. USC and Florida look really good.

  2. I don't think so. That would make it harder so then the SEC teams wuold lose more games.

  3. I have a feeling it will be USC and Georgia in the championship game this year. You can't count out LSU, Florida, and Missouri, though. Also, with the easy as h**l schedule Ohio State plays every year, they may be looking at another championship bid this year, too.

  4. USC and Georgia sounds awesome.  I hope that is the game, because USC always plays better in big games, and you are right about the SEC being the strongest conference.  As for lame Ohio State and their weak schedule, don't forget that they are going to have to play USC in two weeks.

  5. Yeah I think the national championship this year will either be between USC or Ohio Sate (depending on who wins next week) and whoever ends up wining the SEC championship (Georgia, Florida, LSU, Auburn, Alabama). I doubt it will be Georgia, but I don't know, LSU managed to get into the national championship game last year with 3 losses, so everything as far as qualifications for a team to go to the National Championship game is out the window. I'm gonna say Florida will end up winning the SEC and go to the National Championship game against USC or Ohio State. It mostly has to do with their schedule. The fact they are away against Georgia doesn't mean much if anything because the game is on a neutral sight. I'm picking Florida to go 11-1 (losing to Tennessee in week 3), and then beating Auburn in the SEC championship game. I think Georgia will finish 9-3 (losing to LSU, Florida, and Auburn). The fact is Georgia's schedule is far too difficult to win the conference. I mean they have to play Arizona Sate, LSU, and Auburn on the road, as well as having to play a very formidable South Carolina team on the road, who will give them trouble. Plus they have to play Alabama which will not be an easy game. Georgia has the team to win a championship, just no the schedule.

  6. I think your right. The hard part is trying to decide which SEC team will make it. After watching the games yesterday, I don't think you can discount either LSU or Bama. Both showed strong games. Georgia has a tough  schedule to get there with. Auburn and Florida are both strong. And I am also waiting to see how TN does on Monday.

If the SEC does not make it to the national title game it will be because we beat the h**l out of each other during the season. These guys do NOT get any easy wins in the conference. Each one is a very hard fought victory.

LUCA: I'm going to correct your statement. Here is your statement :

'I doubt it will be Georgia, but I don't know, LSU managed to get into the national championship game last year with 3 losses, so everything as far as qualifications for a team to go to the National Championship game is out the window.'

You are incorrect on your facts. LSU only lost 2 games last year. Kentucky beat LSU 43 to 37 in week 7 in OT, and Arkansas beat LSU in week 13 with a score of 50 to 48, also in OT.  LSU then turned around and beat Tn 21 to 14 in the SEC conference game. And the other thing to consider is that every team ranked in the top 5 last year at the end of the season HAD 2 LOSES. It wasn't just LSU. Ohio also made it to the Championship game with 2 loses.

  7. USC is already in the SEC

  8. If USC and Ohio State played and recruited for the SEC schedule they would win it EVERY year. Since they play in the Pac 10 and Big 10 they have to play there schedule. If the SEC were to play in the Big ten they would never get throught the season because of how phyisical and big ten teams are. The SEC is built for speed not size like the big 10. Just ask Florida when the were slaughtered against a second tier Michigan team last year.
