  1. Considering I have a water filter and I boil anything else that comes out of the tap, I'm not sure vaccines would work for me .  I'm assuming they would either get filtered out (if >=1micron in size) or if they were live-attenuated (like the MMR or varicella) - they'd get destroyed with my cooking.  So I guess the answer is yes, I would agree to let them do it, but not sure it would be really useful.

  6. No- never-  people should get more educated about the reality of vaccinations and stop taking the pharmaceutical companies word

    Do your research people-  many of the diseases we have vaccines for were on the decline long before the vaccine was available- we now have a generation of kids and another one coming up with higher rates of heavy metal poisoning , autism, food allergies, and learning disorders because we randomly allow things we know nothing about to be injected into our bodies-  our bodies are less able to fight off what they naturally could otherwise and our digestive system and neurological systems are being destroyed.  

    get educated before you take such an immovable stance on something you only suppose!

  10. No.  I think it would be a bad medical decision, if it were even possible.

    Vaccines work better when they are administered to the people who need them.  If I'm immune to smallpox already I don't need a vaccine against smallpox.  On the other hand, if I am not immune to smallpox and there is a danger of exposure I would want the vaccination.

    You are also looking at cost factors.  It would take a lot of a vaccine in the water supply to achieve a concentration that would be effective.  I just don't think it would be practical.

    I want the vaccines I need and I want my children to have the ones they need, but I prefer they be administered in the traditional way to targeted age groups and military personnel and people planning to travel overseas.

  12. No.  Too much reliance on vaccines that we don't know the long term effects of is risky.

  13. Sure. vaccines are proteins, so they will just be broken down into amino acids in our duodenum (small intestine) and absorbed, retaining none of their vaccinating properties.

    Thats why vaccines must be injected and not taken orally.

  14. Oh that's a hard one.  I could see specific instances where I'd endorse it (ie. a situtation similar to that in outbreak was about to occur).  However, I can't think of a specific recent example where this would be mandated (not to mention it's impossible given how vaccines work).

    However, there fortunately is a very good parallel with your question, putting flouride in water "vaccinates people against cavities," and it was mandated by the government despite continual citizen protest for public health.

    Some of the many critiques against fluoride include:

    It's a mass unconsentual medication of the population which violates the geneva conventions.

    It's a medical experiment where the general populace is used as test subjects (also considered bad and unethical in science).

    Many groups have repeatedly lied and misrepresented the effects of fluoride (ie. using botched studies and persecuting those who claimed differenting viewpoints on it), since there's an absolutely massive commercial interest in having it in the water.

    Depending on what source you consult, opinions on the severity of substances dangers vary, but it's generally considered to be toxic (I am on the extreme end of the opinion and I think it's one of the most toxic things people are exposed to).

    Allowing mass medications of the population through the water supply sets a large list of dangerous precedents, and the only currently existing historical example suggests that it should be avoided.

  16. you bet i would... (don't take me wrong, i do not hate...) we were rid of a lot of the disease's we have today... others coming here from different countries have re-infected us with them, and must be inoculated in some way... if it's by water, then so be it...
