What is it, exactly, that makes handwriting different?

Is it something psychological...?

  1. I think that it is mechanical, not psychological.  It's like all baseball players have similar swinging styles, yet they are not identical.  It's a combination of learning style, comfort, and practice...with a touch of personal preference mixed in.

  2. Hand writing is an expression of your character, and emotional state at the time of writing ...so they will always be different from anyone else's  ...

Much can be learn't about you from your writing ....

  3. Thats kinda like asking "why dont we all have the same face?"

    Because everyone is different.

And it just depends on who teaches you how to write

  4. It is basically psychological, but there is nothing supernatural about it.

First of all, graphology is pseudoscientific. There is no proof that it can predict or indicate anything about a person.

Our motor skills develop at different times and for different ways. We are taught to write in certain ways, and we eventually find shortcuts to make certain words and letters in certain ways. Like all things psychological, it's a combination of our nervous system's ability to control our muscles and our mental ability to focus on what and how we're writing.
