The walf at yur door doesn't make much air pollution, but he's not verry envoermentally friendly either.  He likes the sheep too much, and for the wrong reasons.

Pedestrian activity, if it were widely encouraged and facilitated, could probably reduce air emissions by 5%.  Add in bicycling, and you could easily get to 10%.  But it would require major changes in roads and infrastructure, not to mention attitudes.  The majority of air emissions come from fossil-fuel fired electrical generating stations and the heating and cooling of buildings.
