  1. Exactly what alternative fuel are you refering to?  In general, alternative fuels cost more and are thus not economically competative, this is probably the case with which ever one you are thinking of.

  2. Ask your federal government, car companies, and oil companies. They'll probably have a lame excuse for you.

  3. several reasons:

    no demand

    no supply chain

    more expensive than fossil fuels

    less efficient than fossil fuels.

we don't really need them anyway.

the planet is swimming with oil.

    there is NO oil problem.

    here is the current situation:

when that oil is gone, we have this oil:

  5. ABC's 20/20 had an excellent recap on corn for fuel.  Even if we used all of the corn grown in America, it would only replace about %12 of our dependence on foreign oil.  That shows you the significance of the amount we need and what it might take to replace that usage.

  6. First of all people are afraid to use Hydrogen because of the Hindenburg incident . Really though the hydrogen just added more fuel to the fire, what really burnt was the outer skin.

We all know that the oil industry is a trillion dollar market. We buy oil from places like Iraq Russia and Saudi Arabia. the oil we buy is used here where the oil we drill for is exported and sold for a higher profit. the oil mainly goes to china.

Today's oil company's are changing the way the do business in the fact that they are now participating in energy efficient transportation sources.

At last years auto show in Detroit one automaker came up with a brilliant chaise for the automotive industry. It was called the skateboard. all electric power. it had 4 wheel drive and a quick charge time. the only downfall was that it had a low range.

years ago the chineese invented a carborator that would alow a vehile to run upto 50 miles to the gallon but it never made it to the U.S. Recently an automotive race team ran a desil engine in a sports car cup and won the race. they never had to stop for fuel. the car only carried 10 gallons and did the 50 lap race. the engine was a 1.6l turbo desil that made 300hp.

there are also new ways that we can use garbage in wich it is shot with plasma and reduced to its molecular form. there is only a small biproduct wich can be used for road production.

there is also a farily large facility in texas that is trying to take used uranim rods and extract the remaining 85% of the energy left in the rod. thir progress is slow since it is such a hazardous material. If succesfull they may beable to produce enoughf energy to power the us for a centry or more. the demand for this project to be sucessfulll is high and they are doing thir verry best to make progress.

as far as the people of the world not pusing harder for the development of alternitive energy sourses. that is a good question but I belive that they are just now pushing harder then ever before bucase it is now becomeing a prevalent problem and many educators are teaching about it in shools and telling you about it on the web. If you go back 12 years ther was no such thing a computer in almost evry houshold and if ther was one it wasnt on the NET. As Aol's popularity and speeds increased it became easier to get and recive information. therfor such little things as a 101 year old guy still working, is known across the globe.

  7. Because the oil and car industries have been lobbying against them and paying off politicians for decades.

  8. . We have just come to the point that we can adapt all of our existing vehicles or motors that run on gas or diesel with just a small change . Same way with the computer 30 years ago to own one you would have to own the lot next door to put it on today they  are hand held and do twice as much .. Being that we can adapt to existing vehicles we can all afford them not just the rich and we don't have to scrap the 57 Chevy .

Energy is going to be a worry of the past .You will be able to heat ,cool , light your home for as little as $50 a month use all you need .

http://nanodetonator.com go to Q&A it makes it easyer to understand whats going on then let your imagination run wild on what you can do with an unlimited amount of energy . Its like being set free after being captive all your life. This will stimulate the economy so much we are all going to prosper beyond your wildest dreams and thank goodness its all starting hear in the states . You know what they say" ONLY IN AMERICA " This is the land of milk and honey .

  9. You don't list the fuels so I can't answer very directly, but the main reason is that they are in short supply compared to traditional fuels. Some cars can use it, but there is not enough to go around if all cars want to use it. You may claim that the shortage is artificial, but you will have to prove that to me. You may say that they could be made more plentiful at reasonable cost, but I bet you are not prepared to actually do that your self. Nothing is impossible to the person who does not have to do it himself.
