If we already have the technology to run cars off of pure water then why is it not already in production if gasoline seems to be such a (close to extinct resource)????? my theory involves government greed.... what do you think?

  1. how much money did Exxon Mobil make last quarter alone?  how much do you think they would invest in keeping gasoline a necessity?  question answered.  if you were to make a system that ran solely off purified water (its been done) and tried to market it, you wouldn't be alive to see next week.

  2. gasoline is no where near close to gone. Maybe in a few more generations it will be. And the cars arn't run solely off water. It requires electricity and a combustable fuel, like gasoline. It just doesn't give off anything but water vapor.

  3. You have a good point. But making cars that run off of water might be a terrible idea. Gasoline is necessary to survive but water is. There's lots of places that already have problems with not having enough water. If cars were switched over to water I imagine that after a fairly short period water prices would soar and you could hardly afford to take a shower every day. Now a car that runs on salt water that might be something. No shortage of oceans.
