If we are all human beings and no one is better than anyone else than why is there a class system?

Why do some people have a lot more oppurtunities in life than others? Are they better than the less fortunate?

I think you answered your own question.

Because obviously we are not all equal, some people are better than others.  We may all have the same opportunities, but some people refuse to put in the effort required to make something of themselves, some people want a free ride, or use their parents names to get them extra benefits they have not earned.

people are still people, but they have more or less influence with looks, money, power, fame, or athletic ability. all those things make them in a better "class system". its human nature to strive to be better. some people actually follow through and some are lazy. however, not everyone has the same opportunity. some people are just lucky

There is a class system because some people "think" they are better than others, and there are enough of them to be in their own class.  It's like cliques in high school.

Because some people need to feel better about themselves so they pick on people that they feel has less than them.

As for the opportunities, it's not necessarily that they aren't there for the less fortunate, it's just some people have more drive than others. Look at Chris Gardner. He was homeless, broke and a single father but his drive and determination got him to the top. You need to take chances in life to get ahead.

Yes, we are all human beings but that does not make us equal. I am so much better than you. It has nothing to do with a class sys. or fortune, or wealth it is simply that I am superior to you.
