Exactly,  the mode and time of repayment of advance amount after cancellation depends on the terms of the dealer and the company, which would and need to be mentioned clearly on the initial contact form ( filled at the time of payment of advance money)

The maximum time for refund of money should be 1 week. ( No cash payments would be made. Only cheque will be issued by the dealer on the name of the person, in whose name the payment is made)

However, exceptions are there.

If any specific requirement is made, then the amount may not be refunded. ( customised vehicles)

If non fast moving models and colors are booked and after shipment, the order is cancelled, then the amount may not be refunded and may be liable legally.
