  1. The effect of the black white question is only regarding two races. Many blacks still are discriminated, and slaved by whites. Until whites as the slave driver of the blacks ceases to slave blacks, blacks will not see whites as a peaceful race to trust and work with. This will take many many centuries or more. Due to the rate in which the white race moves toward peace truth and equality with the blacks.

Otherwise there will always be reality in which case color truly exists.

This question and theory has a christianity-scientific lean as a result of early christian scholars holding the same debate. Otherwise an anthropologist would not try to persuade others toward such an internalizing belief but would themselves try an emic/etic study of what blacks live like and feel about being black and how it would feel for them to be told by whites "your not black, you came from an ancient white family instead".

  2. Define 'family'. As in Adam and Eve? Well, that's not going to happen.

We are thought to have been descended from a fairly small group of hominids (one to ten thousand) cut off in the Ethiopian lakes area about 200 thousand years ago. We were an endangered species for a very long time. We are a pretty closely related species. But pretending that we are all genetically identical, the way the PC police insist, is inaccurate.

I don't think it will make any kind of difference to any kind of race issues whatever anyone proves.

  3. I'm just curious about this, but just what is the black/white question?

there are only three different parts of the body that are differently colored amongst people.

    hair

    eyes

    skin

does it really matter what the combination is?

  4. to answer your question,,,,,,,,,,,,,, none whatsoever that issue has been around for far to long to ever go away its ingrained on our society whether people want to admit it or not

iraqwarcam please supply link to support your post, as Genetic analysis of Neanderthals is very tricky because mere fragments of nuclear DNA have been recoverable from fossils.and your claim for people mating with chimps 30.000 yrs ago would make interesting reading

  5. Both evolution and creationism seem to indicate, (in their own way), that all humans came from a single family originally.  I'm not aware of many people that think that black people and white people just appeared independently of each other.

I don't see how it would make a difference in the mind of a racist though.  I'm sure most racists are perfectly capable of hating people no matter how closely related they might be.

Hitler actually had a lot of Jewish blood in him.

    ==============

Actually, I had never bothered to investigate the assertion that Hitler had Jewish blood, but I had heard it from several sources.  Now that you asked the question, I actually went and double checked and it turns out that it isn't necessarily true.

However, there is a bit of history behind the whole thing.  It gets a bit convoluted.  There is some interesting info on it at this site.

  6. "why cant weeee be friends? why cant weeee be friends? why cant....." yeah, that.

  7. As far as I understand it every specie on earth evolved from the same thing. Which is why we all generally have two eyes, nose, and mouth in the same general location.

  8. Which evr way you take it blacks and whites are both from the same origin the only diference is thier MELLANIN concentration.

  9. the black/white problem is a social one, not a physical one. So regardless of whether we all stemmed from one family, or many, it would still exist.

Now the differences in appearance between nations are due to their environment. For example, Eskimos up here in Canada are known to have flat noses. Why? It allows them to keep heat in better, due to their cold climate. People with darker skin are exposed to more powerful sunlight.

People actually have more differences in their makeup between each other, rather than the cultures they represent. 15% of the differences found were between the cultures. The other 85% was the individual characteristics that make a person unique. For example, Asians are known for having brown eyes, verses Europeans who are known for their blue eyes. Now asians themselves with their eyes, their eyes could be large, small, oval, long, etc, same as Europeans. The only noticable difference is (for the most part) colour. Very few characteristics of a person is generated from a "race".

  10. a. They have proven we are all related.

    b. It makes no difference.  People don't like science when it interferes with their beliefs.

    c. Hitler being jewish is based entirely on supposition.  Yet another example of  an unproven theory, that since it sounds cool (or agrees with their odd world view), gets repeated a lot.

  11. Many people get confused because of the confusing way that mitochondrial Eve and the Y chromosome Adam are presented.  Evolution through selection eliminated all the other mitochondria and Y chromosomes.  All people are descended from a single female based on mitochondria and a single male based on a single y chromosome.  That doesn't mean that we don't have contributions from thousands or tens of thousands of individuals that lived at the same time.  A single gene or chromosome, in the two examples I gave, can be so strongly selected that all others are eliminated.

There is no single person or family at any point that lead directly to us.

  12. We did not descend from a single family, since only populations can evolve, not individuals nor families. Nor could we ever prove that we did descend from a specific single population: genetics are only a statistical answer.

  13. We all originated in Africa.

The reason why black people are black is because the pigment provides protection against the sun.

White people have become white because they live in temperate climates with not much sun - not much pigment is needed.

Did you know that white people with red hair absorb more vitamin D (combined with calcium to build bones) than any other people? This helps them to optimise the sunshine that they do receive. A lot of these types of people come from the far nothern hemisphere - where it's dark for 6 months of the year.

We're all just people. Colour is a side issue - it's irrelevant.

  14. Who cares! . We're all  ONE FAMILY NOW .Lets work on It

    together !

  15. the genes that denote superficial racial differences (skin pigments, hair etc) are so miniscule that they are not relevant to humanity as a species...the next issue is some huimans do have chimp dna...a fact! google it , due to mating as recently as 30,000 yrs ago with them...also some have neanderthal genetic material found recently...look it up if u think I joke!

  16. Don't know what effect it would have on all the issues you mention, but it would certainly cause one h**l of a headache for the Child Support Agency!!!
