Alumininum helps cook stuff....like a mini oven. we wouldent get any sunlight but the heat would be even worse!

the answer is NO, nothing placed on ground can help, for a simple reason:

once the sun rays entered in the earth atmosphere they are inside, and our problem is that there is a layer in the high atmosphere that stop the bouncing rays from going back to the space, so they get trapped inside and we cook..like in an oven..

Earth problem is us, as human kind, because we did use all the resources without caring for the possible problems..now we are trying to put a lid or a patch on our older generations errors. To solve the problems would be necessary that all the nations especially CHINA and INDIA will totally stop the emissions of CO2 and all the other c**p..ALL the nations should work together to get new sources of energy, not polluting..

No. It would just eff everything up.

There's continual energy exchange between the earth and space, and closing off the atmosphere would destroy the delicate equilibrium that we have. It would be like quintupling the cloud cover of our earth, except with clouds that reflect a much higher percentage of the Sun's electromagnetic energy back into space.

Dude...if we covered the atmosphere with aluminum foil...how would we get any sunlight???  All the plants would die...followed shortly by the plant-eating people...then the meat-eating people that had been feeding on the plant-eating people would die.  Geez...use your brain dude!
