  1. Its plenty fair.  You have to wait in line, fill out forms, pay money to go to any country.  The illegals just don't want to wait in line or pay money.

  2. of course they would. They don't want to be here legallly then they would have to follow the rules, and have to pay taxes and they might actually NOT get welfare..They are only here to steal from us...I don't care if it only took 1 week to make them legal, some would still come thru illegally..they would not make nearly as much money being here legally by the time they lost the welfare and free housing and had to start paying medical bills, etc.

  3. No,because the illegal immigrants want to be legal in the US but a lot of them don't get legal because it's too hard and expensive. So if we had a fair immigration program that would allow most illegal to get legal then we wouldn't have that problem.

  4. If it was fair and organized then the illegals wouldn't like it and we'd be back to square one again.

  5. I believe it is fair, not sure about organized and expedient though. My parents and I had to wait five years to become citizens of the US. It upsets me when these politician (won't name two of them) thinks it's ok to give free pass to law breakers. I just want to ask BObama one question - what make these illegal so special that they can break the law and get away with it while my parents and I had to wait 5 years legally?

  6. As long as we actually close the border and enforce border patrol, I think that a reasonable plan should be put into effect.. NOT deporting everyone, but giving them a way to stay here. I don't think they should be given automatic citizenship or anything, but if they pay a fine and can be here and abide by the rules we can all work together, pay taxes together, and live in harmony. If they can prove that that can live here without getting arrested, applying for welfare, etc. then whats the big deal?

  7. If the immigration system wasn't backlogged dealing with illegal aliens, the application process for legal immigrants would be more efficient.

If we closed the borders, increased the penalty to a felony for illegal presence in the US, heavily penalized all their employers, barred access to all public services and required parental citizenship or legal status for birthright citizenship, then they would not be so anxious to come. Remove the perks, impose the penalties.

  8. America has already a limit on how many people can immigrate annually.  Even though, I don't have the number of immigrants permitted per year do I know that this statement is correct.  USCIS is backed up because it suddenly had to deal with an influx of applications mainly from former illegals who wanted to get their status legal....

  9. It wouldnt matter, they dont care about coming here legally. They have no love for this antion, they just the almighty dollar. If Mexico was "fair, organized and expedient", maybe they wouldnt need to come here at all.

Wait in line like every one else. For my parents, it took many years to become legal citizens.
