It's hard to achieve complete ozone depletion, especially now, when CFCs production is very limited.

Ozone forms from regular oxygen under influence of UV rays (the very thing which it protects us from). Since both oxygen and UV rays are plentiful, we may not to worry much.

If oxygen somehow disappears, we die fast and easily, UV help not needed for that. If there are no more UV rays, ozone is over as well, just as our need in it's protection. But never mind, both situations are absolutely fictional.

I think that everyone is confusing Global Warming, and the build-up of the ozone layer, with the ozone hole, which was rampant in the 80's and 90's. The ozone hole over the antarctic is healing and fillling in. However, a different layer of the atmosphere is getting thicker. This is causing global warming.

Ozone is continuously created by electric discharges in the atmosphere (lighting), it degenerates naturally to Oxygen, but some gasses increase the rate of the Degeneration, creating a lower balance in the amount of Ozone i the upper atmosphere, remove those gasses, mainly CFCs, and the balance will gradually rise again.
