  1. Well, the idea is that apes and us had a common ape-like ancestor. And there are plenty of fossils that illustrate the paths.

The question is why does some species evolve in one direction in one place and in another place evolve in another direction? Why didn't apes become as smart as humans, etc... Scientists can only look at the external environment, even though that environment is subject to evolution as well.  But that is the theory.

  2. Just google that same question and you will find your answer if that is what you are really after. It is a common misconception of creationists that don't have any understanding of evolution.

  3. Evolution is a little more complex than that.  Humans did not evolve from apes.  Humans ARE apes, just a different species.  Humans are not descended from any currently living animal.  The "hosts" as you put it have long been extinct.  What you are saying makes as much sense as saying tigers evolved from lions.  It's just not the case.

You have ape DNA in your body now, as well as other mammalian DNA from earlier ancestors.

Do some research if you're really interested in this subject.  You won't find the answers in one place, since research into genetics is ongoing.

  4. it's bull, i believe in the bible and Adam & Eve.

  5. I agree with you, but maybe the in-betweens were hit by a meteor, eaten by a dinosaur, fell down a crevass, abducted by space aliens in a UFO, boiled in lava, smothered in volcanic ash, suffocated in gas, joined a suicide cult, etc.

  6. There is a book out that explains all the different people that came before our species of humanoid but they died out.  Our people made it and they didn't.  Check it out, it's all documented.  I am not a scientist and neither are the people on here to fully explain it, but there are books and articles that do explain it.  Good Luck in your research.  It IS a very interesting subject to study.

  7. Apes and Humans (and Monkeys too) evolved from the same (now extinct) animal. We did not evolve from apes, that is why the apes are still here.

  8. If you want to learn about evolution I suggest you read Orgins by Richard Leakey and Roger Lewin. I read it and gained a clear knowlege on the material.

Your asking where the missing link in between apes and human is, well this book can answer that in great detail. There are piles and piles of evidence that creationalists, like yourself, having looked into. Why? Well, probably because the media isn't so interested in anthropology than nerds like me are (unfortuantely).

There is a very helpful graph in the book that shows the ancestor of monkeys and apes and all kinds of groups that people have a misconception about.

    This is how it's listed:

    Ramapithicus- -insectivores

                              -tarsiers

                              -lorises

                              -lemurs

                              -New World monkeys

                              -Old World monkeys

                               -apes

-Homo habilis -Homo erectus -Homo sapiens -Homo sapiens sapiens

In that book it talks about all of the fossils and evidence of finding 'homo' remains. It's quite interesting stuff if you truely care and are not just trying to pick a fight. ;)

  9. Humans are apes.  There have been many fossils that have characteristics between modern great apes and humans.  There are several examples where a species split off another group and was subjected to accelerated evolution.  Look at cave animals that lose their eyes as one of countless examples.

  10. It's a common misconception. We didn't evolve from apes.

Humans and apes have a common ancestor species that

    no longer exists.

  11. we were not evolved from apes. people were turned to apes centuries ago. from the quran

  12. We did not evolve from modern apes. Apes and humans share a common ancestor. Also, humans arent neccessarily MORE evolved than every other animal. We have evolved larger, more powerful brains. Whereas modern apes have evolved much greater strength, hands made for climbing, etc. They are much more adapt to their environment(the jungle) and we are much more adapt to ours.

  13. we didnt evolve frum apes charlse darwins theory is blasphemy and he was also an atheist that dead s.o.b

  14. good question., ive actually thought of this myself...im not sure if its true. im marking this question interesting
