  1. Apes exist to ask this question, ad infinitum.

  2. Every specie only produces after it's own kind.

Skunks give birth to skunks, birds lay eggs and so forth.

There has never been any transitional specie skeletons found.  Apes have their own DNA we have ours. Our DNA is very close to that of an earth worm. Figure that out.

  3. we didn't evolve from apes..we're related to them by a 2% difference in DNA. we evolved from homo eructus and homo ergaster

  4. Well, some of the apes standing around the water cooler at work one day, got wind of plans to evolve them into a freaky new species and decided they wanted no part of the plan, so they ran deep into the woods to get away.

  5. as the ape tree evolved and we split off and the apes went on and we formed

  6. You're lucky, because the next person who asks this question, will disappear from the face of the earth!

  7. On the off-chance that you mean this question seriously, I'm going to answer it.  Sigh.  This question is posted at least once a week here, and we all take turns answering it.  Join in on the choruses, everybody.

We didn't evolve from apes.  We are primates who evolved from an ancestor that we have in common with apes.  We split off from these ancestors millions of years ago.  It turns out that chimpanzees have changed more from that ancestor than we have.

The common ancestor does not exist any more, but not because we and apes and chimpanzees evolved from it.  It doesn't exist because other species were better adapted for the environment than it was.  Adaptation is a separate event from extinction.
