  1. I don't know it's a bit subjective whether it's a huge gap or not.  Check out the pictures from the source below and compare for yourself.  Some neanderthal brain cases seem to be larger than H. sapiens too.

  2. Darwin never actually said that humans evolved from apes.  Darwin, indeed, stayed far away from the human evolution topic.  The only mention anywhere close in "Origin of the Species" is the following: "Light will be thrown on the origin of man and his history."

No evolutionary scientist would say that man evolved from apes.  The theory holds that apes and humans have a same ancestor.

  3. Time is a hard concept, specially long spans of time. The theory of evolution is hard to understand because our whole lifespan is just a microsecond of the history experienced by the globe so far. The glaciers look solid and unmoving to us, but if we where to speed up the camera and look at them for a long period of time they flow like rivers. Its the same with evolution. Most things we can see evolve so slowly that one lifespan cannot preceive any difference.

There is no specific date when the proto-ape turned into man and the proto-ape turned into a gorilla. It happened in thousands upon thousands of human lifespans. Both evolved to different paths. Maybe there was a time when both the apes and mans ancestors shared the gap and for reasons unknown the apes had no use for it, just like we didn't have a use for a tail.

Evolution is just another way of saying things change. Being descended of bacteria, fish or ape makes no difference in us being special. No other animal as far as I know could have posted that question, than human. We seem to be the only ones who are interested in what happened before our birth and what will happen after, regardless that it doesn't affect our now in any way.

  4. *sigh*  Who says we evolved from apes besides uneducated morons?  Not Darwin, nor does 'science' say that.  That statement comes from the creationist disinformation.

Neither Darwin, nor any other scientist ever said we evolved from apes.

Before you go around spouting such nonsense, read a bit, K?

  5. An even better question is, "if we evolved from apes, why are swine organs used for transplants? Shouldn't we be better genetic matches to apes?"

Once again, more proof that Darwin was WRONG!

  6. Thats a good question! I never believed that the Dawin dude who said that we evolved from apes. How dare he! If this was true (us evolving from apes) wouldnt we see ape like people walking around?

Sorrry that I'm not answering your question but I think that there is a chance that we didnt evolve from apes.

  7. [I]f we evolved from apes[,] why is ther[e] a huge gap in the skelletal (sans L) brain pans right about the time man was create[d?]

Fixed that for you. I won't bother retorting because I'd rather humiliate you than argue now. Thanks for the laugh.

  8. lolololol

Keep tryin, you gonna be exposed to knowledge all the time now, causoin some folks be got some.

You can chose to join them or remain where you are now.

Remember, there is an old but correct adage:

“If you keep on thinkin the way you do…you gonna keep on getting the thangs you do”

  9. Why do people assume that people are uneducated because they don't believe in evolution??

  10. Actually, australopithecines (some of the earliest hominins) had brains that weren't much larger than that of a chimpanzee. We do see a progression over 3 million years of a gradual increase in brain size, from Australopithecines to H. habilis to H. erectus all the way up to us.

This information is widely available - try research.
