  1. CAUSE WE DIDNT EVLOVE FROM NO DANG MONKEYS

  2. Because we didn't evolve!

  3. Well, as far as evolution goes, there are branches, we were this, but our genes mutated, or adapted in some way and we branched off, as a different species if you will, and it goes on like that, but there is still that same gene pool that we first came from so "monkeys" would still be a branch...that hasn't mutated or adapted...make sense?

  4. Firstly, we didn't evolve from monkeys - at least, not any modern species of monkey.

We share a common ancestor with modern monkeys: some of that ancestor-species evolved towards us (via many intermediate species), while other populations of that species evolved into other primate species.

The important thing to remember is that humans are not the "end-point" or "target" of evolution. We are just one of many possible evolutionary strategies.

  5. You need to learn a lot more about evolution.

    1. Humans didn't come from modern monkeys, both modern monkeys and humans came from a common ancestor.

    2. Humans are not more evolved than monkeys, only differently evolved. It's the tree of life, with branches, not the ladder of life.

    3. Two isolated populations of the same species can evolve down two different routes, or one population can evolve while the other stays fundamentally the same. Just because some of a species evolves in now way means they should all evolve.

Evolution is the most well supported theory in all of science, and human evolution is one of the most well documented lineages. We're more certain about humans evolving from earlier apes than we are about the theory of gravity.

  6. Think about it this way.  Once, a long time ago, some finches were blown by a storm across the ocean from South America to the Galapagos Islands.  They did ok, but as their numbers grew, some of them flew to other nearby islands, where there were different plants, different insects, etc.  The baby birds that happened to have beaks better adapted to use the new food sources prospered and had more babies, so their beak types were passed on.  On some islands, a short, thick beak better for cracking hard seeds worked better.  On others, a long thin beak, better for picking bugs out of holes worked better.  Over time, the differences became so distinct that there were several different species of finches in the Galapagos Islands, including the original type.

In a similar way, the ancestors of monkeys, apes and people diversified to fill different niches.  Some of the branches disappeared over time, others thrived, but many of the branches still exist today.

  7. Some were given a choice.

  8. Monkeys were created by the monkey god in his own image.
