  1. The duration of an undergraduate degree in archaeology can vary by program and by country.  They can take anywhere from 3-5 years, but 4 years is the typical duration.

    The masters degree will be an additional 1-2 years after your undergraduate in North America, but elswhere in the world there are some very different arrangements.

    The Doctorate, or PhD is typically 5-7 years.  Usually they appear like they can be theoretically completed in 5 years, but because they are generally flexible and because the quantity of work involved stacks up quickly, you can find a lengthy dissertation and defense process eventually pushing you even past the 7 year mark.  Once again coutries will represent differences in their programs.

Again, I may be the only one who doesn't fully get your question, but like your geology question...any course in archaeology will take a semester.  However, if you want to get a degree in it, that will obviously take longer.  A BA takes about 4 years, but in archaeology you will probably need an MA or Phd.
