If human impact is causing global warming then it stands to reason that humans can also cause global cooling (in fact that is the current goal). We know that before humans had major influence on the environment that the earth experienced extensive climate change. From what I have heard, a cooler climate could make life very difficult in comparison with a warmer climate. If there are negative consequences to both global warming and global cooling, then should we not also be formulating an environmentally friendly plan to increase temperatures in the case of a cooling period? Is it possible that humans should be more concerned about adapting to climate change as opposed to trying to influence it?
