  1. It would take a lot to reconcile the two different types of coverage.  A major part of W/C is payments for lost wages.  The medical health coverage does not account for that.


  2. Doubtful as WC covers more that just medical.

  3. No.  Workmans Comp also pays for lost wages due to being unable to work due to a work-related injury.

  4. That's a good question. I haven't heard if the issue has progressed so far that it was addressed yet. Probably an item to be worked out later when the details become more relevant. Hillary was asked if it was true that a worker's wages would be garnished to pay for universal health care. She simply stated that a mandatory collection system would have to be in place. Which means yes.

  5. Workers' Comp is really a form of liability insurance employers take out to cover their tail for job-related accidents.  Health care has little to do with an employer's liability.
