Why not in Great Britain? It seems to work in America and we could do with alot of work here in Britain. What are your views?

  1. Haha but our president is a dumbass.

  2. Because it would take a major restructuring of your government. Personally, I like that you have a procedure of a "vote of no confidence" where you can vote the Prime Minister out. It would have worked very well here, a couple of times.

  3. Because we have a constitutional monarchy i.e. the Queen is our head of State. Republics (states without monarch's) like Germany, France, and The USA have presidents, who act as their head of state.

In reality is makes no difference, the PM of Britain for example has much more autonomy and is far less restricted by constitutional checks and balances than the US President. He/she can push an agenda much more aggressively than its US counterpart. You'd be surprised on just how restricted (at least on paper) the US President is, and often only has the power to persuade.

Why do you hate the prime minister and government anyway??
