If we have a 108 inch screen, how far back do we need to place our projector?

We are trying to pre-wire for projection tv, we want our screen to be about 108 inches, and want to make sure we have optimal picture, How far back do we need to install our projector?

What you need to know is the "Throw Distance" of the projector you plan to use.  "Throw Distance" is a specification most projector companies give to help you solve this specific problem.  Go the the website of projector manufacturer and look up info on your projector.  It should be in the owners manual or in other literature for that product.
