If we killed more whales, would sea levels drop?

  1. The sea level would only drop if the whale were removed from the sea.  If the whale is left in the sea, then the sea wouldn't care if the whale were alive or dead.  It only cares that volume is being taken up or space.  The change would be by the volume of the whale removed.  Considering the surface area of the sea, that would be a very small drop in levels and small indeed.

  3. Yes. But the drop in sea level is very close to zero even if the entire species extincts.

    if we killed some of the male ones would the ocean be less salty? the emit about 30,000 gallons of *ahem* in the ocean everytime they, again, *ahem*
