So many people say that Zimbabwe's problem is an "African" problem. As we can see no other African country has stood up and said right we have to do something. So if we leave it as am African problem, will it ever get solved?

  1. Great answer Darth.

  2. No it will not - its going to get worse and worse..just look at Sudan. The powerful countries that CAN do something about it are just sitting on their hands.

    its a d**n shame

do you know how much the US dollar is worth there?

1 US Dollar is worth over 4,000,000,000 zimbabwean currency...its messed up over there, seriously.

  3. Of course there would be.  They would sort out their problems like they always have:  tribal warfare, cattle raids, kidnapping women etc.

  4. Who Cares? Leave them to it, enough problems of our own!

  5. I personally think that the world should give up the idea that democracy should and would work in Africa. Africa is culturally different from the Western or Eastern ideologies. African culture is rooted in tribalism with chieftains or kings as leaders. What the democratic process does in Africa, is to install corrupt men and women with no background in leadership skills. The chieftains or kings still had a patriarchal feeling towards their subjects and more important, he or she is one of their own tribe. So no accusations can be flung to a so called outsider for their woes. I think it is better for the time being that Africa revert back to a monarchical style of rule. It took the Renaissance and the industrial revolution to change Europe into a democratic society. It is no use to try and pull the whole continent into this system if they are not culturally ready for it.

The whole world still buys oil from the Arab countries and they are not democracies. Look at the mess that happened when America tried to change that system in Iraq or the mess the Soviets and now the West got into when they meddled in Afghanistan.

I do not think Africa will look like the rest of the world would want them to, but maybe it is time to leave them alone. The rest of the world should just stop completely to export weapon technology to Africa and make it clear that they will not except their refugees. If you then do business with them, it should be on the same basis as with the oil sheiks. What then happens inside Africa, is not the problem of the rest of the world.

  6. The west has done a lot for Africa - contributed billions in aid.  Politically, it is up to them to sort themselves out.  Zimbabwe threw the whites out of it's country and to be honest, we should wipe our hands of them.  The big leaders in Africa, particularly, South Africa, should speak out - even Nelson Mandella, probably the most respected man in Africa has not uttered a single word on the matter. Why is this - it's very disappointing.

  7. Well give Africa a chance at least.

If you suggest that the west comes in does it then mean everytime there is a problem the west will be called in?

You must admit calling the west is not sustainable.

    *********

I don't know how long but when do you suggest African learn to solve their problems.

Think of African as a teenager as a parent you don't want to shield them forever they have to learn.

  8. No

  9. Maybe all the "african americans" can go home and help out. With the exception of diamonds, its a useless continent.

  10. Remember it is Thabo Mbeki who has constantly shouted "African solutions for African problems" and our experience is that as soon as we try to help we are immediately branded as interfering colonialists. Both the US and the UK have adopted a Policy of offering help and if it is rejected then to say we are here if you need us and let them get on with it. Well you have seen how successful Africans are, particularly Thabo Mbeki, at solving their own problems by making them ours. Some are calling for military intervention to help Tsvangarrai but why should we. After all what did he and his supporters do when at least 3000 White farmers with British identities were slaughtered and thrown off their land in Zimbabwe - feck all.

My solution to Africa is that the G8 Nations should decide who will govern or be political Leaders of all African Countries. Africans may not like it but at least they will have a roof over their heads, food in their bellies and the War lords will be put out of business. We have tried every other solution including pumping billions of dollars into the Continent and all it has proved is that Africans are unable to govern themselves in a democratic manner. They have not developed to the stage where they are able to look after themselves and until they do so we should treat them as children and run the Continent for them.

  11. To the shmuck who said Africa is a useless continent, ask Mr Mann and his mercs if he would have risked rotting in jail had Africa truly been useless. Ask your ancestors if the slaves they took and on who's backs you're standing now were useless. Ask the western nations who've started to panic now that China and India are building partnerships all over Africa if they would have been nervous for a useless continent. Africa is what your kind manipulate, bribe and conspire inorder to to gain control of. So don't give me that "it's useless" c**p.

Now to answer the question, the world IS going to leave it up to Africa. And it has. Somalia, Sudan and Zimbabwe. Why? Because it's in Africa. Only when people started realising the value of the petroleum buried under the Sudan did the west start acting. And ofcourse that useless organization the UN dragged it's heels in.

We've all seen wars of 'liberation' started for reasons MUCH less than what is happening in Africa. Only difference is, they had oil we didn't.

But now that the Chinese are starting to DIG for oil and SHARE the profits, it's got some nations quaking in their boots. Google it, it's no secret. They have been called the new 'colonizers', the new invaders and what not. But nobody was willing to help out before they came around.

Africa will pick itself up. IF other nations that meddle about in it's affairs stay out of it.

About the aid that has been poured into Africa, let me ask you something. Did you know that when some nations (a large percentage) give aid to a country, they ask that it be managed by THEIR people? The people who have no knowledge of Africa? Their salaries would have helped more people than THEY ever could. The Toyota 4WDs they zip around the CITIES in would have helped a lot more people.

There was an Africa LONG before you came, and there will be one LONG after you're gone. After all, we can survive on bare necessities, unlike the greed, back biting and rat races you're accustomed to.

    HANDS OFF !!!

    One Love !!!

  12. The old maxim 'Be Careful What You Wish For' has never be played out better than in Zimbabwe.

Rhodesia was a food exporting country with a budget surplus ( after independence the Rhodesian Dollar was stronger than both the pound and rand ), ruled by the benevolent white minority on quasi-colonial methods. While the blacks did not have a vote, they did have a fair system of justice and full stomachs.

International pressure and terrorism lead to the Lancaster House Agreement that handed this once wonderful country to the thugs who have replaced wealth with poverty, justice with despotism and disenfranchisement with  intimidation or death.

  13. Ther will still be an Africa, but you would be able to smell the stench from all of the dead, rotting bodies all the way to Europe.

  14. re what retox said. What has disgusted me most about Nelson Mandella is he has never muttered a word against Jacob Zuma, the president of the ANC. This guy sings "the machine gun song" if you don't know what that is, it's a native South African song about killing whites. South Africa is going down the pan, I expect Zimbabwes population to be extinct in the next ten years if the current situation keeps up and when they look to Europe and the US for help the answer will be NO!

  15. u already left, and we are still moving mother fckr. i hate to swear but u force bad words out of us. if only u could see ur self as african u wouldnt ask these stupid silly questions.

its like saying when we die were will the world be. every thing will go on as normal no one will beg u to stay.

table mt will remain, the blue waters will remain etc.

  16. I doubt that very much. We will see millions of people starve to death and Africa will just slide further and further into poverty without hand-outs.

Lol Skyli, Wait till Hennie see this question - it is an African problem and not AM African problem. Lol.
