And if so, When it cools will we also have to increase CO2 to keep the statis quo.

  1. No, of course not.

It is certain that the global warming has mainly a natural cause, the sun.

A second fact is that the most performing computers are still unable to calculate what is the real effect of the present worldwide emission of CO2 on global warming.

So the opinions of the scientists are very divergent about the reasons of the global warming and the consequences of our emissions of CO2.

Nobody can tell what is exactly the effect of CO2 emissions on global warming caused by men.

Another fact is that the preachers of coming catastrophes and disasters due to CO2 earn a lot of money. Al GORE gets 150.000 dollars for every conference and has earned till now 50 million dollars for his film. The lobbies for alternative energies have already earned at the money markets enormous amounts of money and get richer and richer.

Fact is that the liquid fossil energies become to be rare. So we must try to spare fuel and to look for other energies, which are not too expensive.

I think that we must reduce our consummation of fossil energy anyway. Perhaps is it necessary to tell people terrific stories about coming catastrophes to persuade them to spare fuel and to use, if possible, more and more clean alternative energies.

However there is another important point, we have to take in consideration. Actually 6,2 billion people live on earth. In 2050 we will probably be 9 billion. Might our governments not search for middles and ways, and these middles are known, to make people avoid to put more children to earth as they can keep? It would solve most of our problems worldwide. Are our governments not doing actually the contrary with our money?

  2. In the long run it may cool at some point (long run meaning several million years) but the main thing we need to do now is STOP damaging the atmosphere any further. We have already put out so much CO2 that the Earth will continue to warm long after we correct our emissions, we just need to make sure it does not warm faster than already predicted.

  3. Probably not, but it will help to stop the warming. We are already letting out a very unnatural volume of CO2, the less we let out the better.

  4. if you subscribe to the "standard model" of climatology, nope, not one bit.  China's pollution, which the IPCC underestimated, is growing in excess of 10% per year. Just a couple years increase would equil the combined output of Germany and Great Britan co.  By 2015, their pollution will exceed that of the US and EU27 combined.  Meanwhile, with no fanfair, the US's pollution 2005-2006, decreased in all catagories, with the exception of nitrous oxide (increased farming activity), while still growing GDP.

  5. If we take all the CO2 out of the air, nothing will grow. The more co2, the bigger and faster our trees will grow so we can make paper.

  6. Not in the least bit!  CO2 actually cools the earth.

  7. The earth does not need any help from us. It is cooling on its own just fine.

  8. No it won't cool.  People are crazy if they think we humans can change the patterns of earth.  I'm in the oil business and we drill two miles under the earth where there was once a beach.  And they think they can stop the world from changing, arrogant.

  9. No one knows.  No one has found a relationship between co2 and temperatures.  We could spend billions removing co2 from the air only to discover that temperatures continue to increase.

No one can predict the future.

  10. yup ..y not..

u know for that we have to stop deforestation...cause trees can actually make the envirionment cool....they do the process of phtosynthesis in which they release o2 for co2...thus co2's amount will reduce..gradually

another factor is population...the more the population..the more the amount of co2,...so.....leading harm to the ozone layer..causing a  hole in it!!!

  11. No.  There's still another 1°F of warming 'in the pipeline' from the CO2 we've already emitted.  At this point we're just trying to slow the warming of the planet.  We can't cause it to cool without doing something drastic (like sending loads and loads of aerosols into the atmosphere).
