If we tax big oil wont they just raise the prices?

Oil is a global need controlled by the world and not the usa isnt it simple, supply and demand.

I feel Obama is playing americans for fools anyone else concerned?

They will raise prices anyway.We have a hurricane coming should hit land MONDAY.This is friday and gas already went up 20 cents,there is no reason for that.It's 3 days away and may not even cause any damage to the refineries or oil rigs,but we are already having to pay for what is in no one's control.They will lose nothing.You are the one foolish enough to think its supply and demand?The same will there after the hurricane but you will pay more and it will not go down for sometime again,but those 3 days alone made profits in the billions because of evacuations and bringing in relief workers before they are needed,now you tell me if that is an honest way to run any business?It is corrupt from beginning to end because I don't know about you but my car does not run on air.An emergency of weather is In no man's control,you should make allowances at such a time not gain ungodly profits.

YUP!!   that is why it is important now more then ever to make sure that we develope alternative fuels..the question is do we as americans want alternative fuels....because people they are there..solar power, wind power, natural gas vehicles..recycled vegatable oil and grease as fuel...Demand the change, buy it and stop relying on the big oil companies

I think we should just do something similar to what China did during the Olympics... no messing with taxes... no drilling...

Everybody who has a License plate ending in an Even Number can't drive on Tuesdays and Thursdays... and everybody with an Odd Number can drive on Mondays and Wednesdays...

Friday, Saturday, Sunday are free for all...

ANY thing that happens to the opec nations or the oil refinaries..or off shore drilling..wheather it be bad weather or war..or a major fire..WE the people pay for it...the oil heads are not about to lose any money at all..they will always have some loop hole to get around raising the prices..
