  1. I think it would have to be that way.

  2. yes one homo erectus had intercourse with a female homoerectus, and they had a baby, then that baby had a baby with his mom (only one woman, i know thats not ethical)  and they had a baby, and so on

  3. Yes. We are related.

  4. Yes, current theory is that all living things have a common ancestor (like a bacterium) from when life first began around 3.5 Billion years ago.

  5. Actually I cannot remember if it was discovery, history or the NGC, but about a year ago they showed a program where an organisation collected DNA from thousands of volunteers. They then traced the genetic markers from one ethnic group to the next and showed how we're all related to common ancestors that came from east Africa. One of the interesting things is that they were able to prove how someone born in Greece, is related to someone born in Mexico. Some ancestor from thousands of years ago, but none the less.

As far as life in general, complex life forms all share about 97% of the same DNA. In primates, especially with apes, humans share 99% of the same DNA.

  6. Sure I guess, we call came from relative source, which had to create all of us, so I guess you would see that we were all related in someway..

  7. I feel it's in our perception of how we are connected.  It would be sad to think we are only related through the science of DNA.  Actually, there's a great video you can watch  and this one article you can read.  Hope you enjoy them as much as I did--here are the links:

  8. Yes, we are all related.   The people of the world share over 99% of the same DNA.   I don't recall the exact study or who was doing it, but someone on this forum should know.

  9. Not only is it possible, it's likely.

See the works of Dr. Alan Templeton, links provided in "sources" below. :-)

  10. I believe that would be Adam and Eve...
