WHY do they have a brain??? Why do they have the same academic possibilities as men? From the nature they have got the same ability to think and study as men.

Why do many people keep saying it is unnatural for women to take a higher education or to choose the career life?

Women have all got a womb but also a brain! Why have they got a brain if their only purpose (from the nature) was to serve men (with s*x) and give birth?

  1. For that matter, why does my desire to use my brain completely cancel out any desire to use my uterus? Something to think about.

  2. I find your comment very insulting.  Are you saying that it doesn't take brains to raise children?  You've got a nerve.  Try doing it some time and see if you think it doesn't take intelligence.  Just because you don't spend all day in some tedious office doesn't mean you aren't using your brains.

Furthermore, i don't get the impression (judging by what I read on marrige and divorce) that men nowadays object to women going out to work and earning money.  They never did.  There seems to be an unshakable modern myth that wives in the past did not work, but in fact most wives in history have had to work very hard indeed, and certainly their economic contribution to the family was not negligible.

Modern men are quite happy to have working wives, so long as the wives also take care of all the domestic stuff.  Few men have any objection to their wives having careers, it relives them of responsibility.  I think you are living in a fantasy world if you think most men find it anything but extremely convenient to have wives who 'have it all' as they say.

And if raising children is such a contemptible occupation, then who pray do you think should do it?  Presumably you go along with the idea that if you are raising your own children at home that's bad, but if you are being paid to raise someone else's children that's okay because it's a job?

  3. Are you saying that the raising of children does not require a brain?

  4. That is their only purpose.  You are trying to raise women up, and you are going in the wrong direction.

Men need to be brought down.  Men are stupid as h*ll.  I should know, I am one.

And as much as we want to believe otherwise, humans are animals.  And for all our intelligence, we are rather stupid animals.  No other animal on this planet is so intent on killing itself off.

Which is why we need the women to make babies.  Women may be the one thing that saves this species.

  5. It takes a brain to have a successfully pregnancy AND to raise children.  You must have forgotten this.  It also takes a brain to successfully run a household and finances.  Women can use their brain however they want to.

  6. Respect to the poster above me. You want equitable (fair) treatment not necessarily equal treatment.

That's why I support the first wave, it was about equal rights and opportunities. Upon realising that equal opportunities don't necessarily lead to equal outcomes they changed tact and advocated for equality for the sake of being equal.

Point is if the means were fair even if the outcomes are unequal they could still be fair since that's what outcomes based on merit are.

Wish more feminists could see this then we can stop arguing at cross purposes

  7. I think we women have been asking for the wrong thing. Many feminists wants equality. I think that is very misleading.

If men can take off their shirt in public, I don't want to do that!

If men can join the army and carry heavy things, I don't want to do that!

I fight for equal OPPORTUNITIES. Opportunities for a work promotion, work offers, etc. I may or may not take it up, but at least I know I have equal opportunities to go for it, just like the guys.

Women's sole purpose on earth is not to give birth and raise children (which dinosour are you?). Women is created as a balance. Women's strength are men's flaws, vice versa.

  8. It's not any more unnatural for a woman to educate herself than a man - basically because our entire brain is a bit of an overkill or accident - we weren't designed to do anything. Except, sort of, find the ripe fruit in the jungle and not die. Developments of the brain to increase the liklihood of this, and not a little our social situation, lead to intellectual development. Of both genders equally. Because they shared the society, the genes (you have 50% of genes from your opposite parent - well, slightly more if you're male. The Y chromosone misses some). So our brains and cognitive abilities developed over the entire population, not just in one gender.

People who say it is unnatural for a women to take higher education are wrong. And often (but not always) basing it on religious belief. Women have shown that they are capable and want higher education, and I can see no real arguement against it.

  9. It isn't our only purpose.

Master_B, I think we agree on something. The post you make in reply to this question is one I finally wholeheartedly agree with.

  10. Why do they have a brain? Well, we'd be dead without one for a start, and that's not going to be too conducive to giving birth and raising children.

  11. You know what, it's people like you who fuel my desire to get FIXED.
