If women and men are equal shouldn't women be allowed to go topless like some men do?

In most other countries women can go topless, at least at designated beaches.

The reason they often can't is because b***s have been labelled a sexual body part by society and they make people uncomfortable. It's just like in a movie a woman can have full frontal nudity and the movie still gets a PG rating, but if a man were full frontal it would be rated R or NC17. It's just dealing with the way people respond to body parts.

Men and women are equal but they are not the same.  So, no women should not be allowed to go topless in public, unless men are going pantless and I don't want to have to see that everywhere.

b*****s are b*****s.  It's because we are such prudes who have turned the sight of them into a shock value that it is not socially acceptable.  The human body is a natural thing and it should be legal for women to go topless in places were men are allowed to.  If not, it should be made illegal for men to go topless too.  I personally would choose to not go topless for two very good reasons.  One is I burn too easily.  The other is, with b*****s my size, I can't go without a bra.

I seriously doubt men are opposed to topless women.

I suspect it's women who would prefer their men and boys not be able to see women's b*****s.

I don't know of even one man who would complain if women were allowed to go topless.

not in america, it's because we are American  this craziness isn't allowed.  Europe and other places and such don't have the hang ups about sexual issues like we do in North America.   But then again, there is Miami!!!!!!!!!!

It is legal in many places for a woman to be topless where a man could also be. However, it doesn't mean that I have to suffer the indignity of conversing with an improperly dressed person.

I don't think it's equal though. Women's b*****s are s*x organs and most people think they should be covered.

I have often wondered why the female nipple is so taboo compared to the male nipple, are some people afriad of functionality? I think that allowing a man to go topless but not women is an unfair double standard, but do women really want to go topless as much as men? Either way, I find that anyone walking down a street without a top on quite unsightly, i'd rather people save it for the beach, their back garden, anywhere really, just aslong as they don't parade their white hairy bodies around (male and female...)

They can, in New York State. Anywhere it is legal for a man to be topless (beaches, parks, on the street), it's legal for a woman.

I can't believe what I've been reading.  You know d*&&^ well that women's b*****s are sexual organs.  And so is a man's d*&&.  This may be one of the worst cases of denial that I've seen so far.  Let's see what happens to these women who walk around like that.  Rape, stalking, molestation, and soon after, daughters who copy the new fad getting raped and bringing early grandbabies into the world.  You've got to be out of your mind.

Therefore, if you think women should be topless, then men should go without pants on.  Now how would you guys like that?  Women would be able to see how little your d*&^ really are.  You would be judged by your sexual organ, and not your mind.

You all really need to stop living in the clouds and get back to reality.  Equal is equal: sexual organ equals another sexual organ.  A man's chest is not the equivalent of a woman's breast, but his balls are.  Bring 'em out men: let's see your little tiddleywinks!
