  1. the mammoths did live during the last ice age.  I'm sure many of these beast got caught is ice, and many were trapped and preserved in tar pits as well.

A mammoth trapped in ice doesn't prove anything.

  2. That's a really good question. I suppose the migrated too colder parts of prehistoric earth and as their food supply diminished they died......frozen in time. That's a theory I guess. If an animal was frozen for that amount of time don't you think the meat would have become petrified? Or at least freezer burned? At any rate I think it would taste more like beef.

  3. they didn't become extinct because of global warming you  idiot!  they were hunted to extinction by early man! Global warming did not cause their extinction because it didn't exist back then! Only now this is happening because of the hole in the o zone layer. the layer that is supposed to protect us from weird weather patterns.

  4. so did i i thought it was the Neanderthals that hunted them out

  5. They weren't made extinct by global warming.

The term refers to a recent artificial warming caused by Man.

  6. they fell in the ice befor they became extinct. and then thawed out and someone didnt see a best before date on it so started eating. lol

or it was eaten by other animals as it thawed out or was freezing.

  7. My ancestors hunted them to extinction, because we are much better hunters than the Africans.

  8. I thought they were hunted to extinction by early man..

  9. Best to try try and avoid using the term 'global warming'.

Use 'climate change' instead. Unless you are a backwoods creationist it is vital that we remember that the earth is transient and humans are little more than the equivalent of mayflies......Climate has changed over the centuries with sudden short-term fluctuations amidst long-term changes.

IT could, for instance, suddenly get colder if The North Atlantic Warm Ocean Current fails........

Whatever the outcome we all have a duty to use the earth's resources wisely and to leave something worthwhile for the next generation.

  10. That's because of survivor of the fittest. The fittest mammoth, which was discovered in SIberia is the fittest!!!!!!!!!

  11. It was in the fridge. I left it to thaw out, and forgot about it.
