  1. we would have a draft in the U.S., then after being out numbered we will resort to nuclear weapons and then we will blow the world away with nuclear weapons. the nuclear weapons will make clouds so thick that light will not penetrate through it and create a nuclear winter! human life will be on the verge of extinction. most people will die from radiation poisoning, starvation, and diseases. all that will be left is c**k roaches.

  2. Iran and Russia vs. NATO + some other allies

China will stay neutral for fear of economic collapse.  Venezuela will stay neutral for fear of getting curb-stomped for being so close to the US geographically.  North Korea would stay neutral for fear of losing humanitarian aid packages from the US.

  3. It depends what it is over and what is involved.

NATO is a strong alliance and basically an attack on one, is an attack on all. This alliance has demonstrated it's unity and commitment time and time again. Any nation taking on NATO would be foolish. The US is the most powerful military in the world, and France and UK rank in the top five.

In NATO you have, USA, Canada, UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Norway, Poland, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

In addition Albania, Bosnia, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Macedonia and Moldova all want NATO membership.

Sweden trains with NATO and is allied through the EU military coop. So is Finland and Austria.

The US has military treaties with Australia, Thailand, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Jordan, Israel, Taiwan, Singapore, Panama, Tajikistan, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.

The US is also allies in the Partnership for Peace and Iraq war allies with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan.

The US also has close relations and sells weapons to Honduras, El Salvador, Nigeria, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Nicaragua, Malaysia, Indonesia and Pakistan.

The US is in control of Afghanistan and Iraq.

Russia and China are by no means united. China favors more lucrative trade with the US. China and Russia are cooperating on many issues but in some aspects they are still military rivals. China and Russia still actively target each other with nuclear weapons, neither do the US.

Are we enemies with Russia? No. Things have gotten a little more tense in recent years and here's the main issues:

US action in Afghanistan has caused some "envy and resentment" amongst old hard liners like Putin. We did what they gave up on (I didn't say lose).

Missile Defense: A credible ability to block Russian ICBM's has always freaked them out. It is expensive to defeat, SDI wrecked the USSR economically, and it wasn't even feasible then. It is now and the thought of a one sided nuclear war scares the Russians...it removes the deterrance of mutually assured destruction. We want it to combat nations like North Korea and Iran, not Russia specifically, but it would work on them too and they hate it.

NATO expansion: It is hard for some to see the former Soviet empire dissolve and turn to NATO. It would be like Mexico joining the communist Warsaw Pact. Russia has no sphere of influence and no buffer if Ukraine and Georgia join NATO. Once they join NATO, Putin can't do anything about it.

Kosovo: Russia is upset that we supported dividing Serbia.

Power: Russia was alarmed at the speed in which we took out Iraq and Afghanistan (The war, not occupation). They were shocked during the first Gulf War because none of their equipment performed well against ours. One of our armor battalions can match an entire Russian equipped tank division.

The war in Georgia is about Kosovo and NATO expansion. They have somewhat of a point, but went about it poorly. But Georgia is an easy target, a morale booster for the Russian people, and it may scare them off of joining NATO. They can't attack the Ukraine but this may do it.

Russia wants to be a player in the world again. They aren't as bad off as they were years ago, but they aren't a world power anymore. Putin is no fool and won't risk war with the US, but he wants his sphere of influence back. In the end we will be allies of Russia. We have a common European ancestry, and have been allies in the past, esp. WW2.

Russia needs to go through these growing pains and flex muscle as we did in the past. Russia needs to join NATO and help the US make the world a better place. There are many Russians living in the US and they are always invited guests.

As for Iran. Russia does business with them but they are no were near allies. they only do business because Iran is embargoed by most of the world. Iran is a threat to Russia just as much as the US.

China is going to have a revolution someday soon....In my opinion, the middle class become spoiled.

The Venezuelan people have tried to kill the clown Chavez several times now, his friends are few and his days are numbered. We have always had close relations with Venezuela. we still sell them food and weapons, although we did cancel the sale of F-16's.

North Korea is dead. They couldn't last a week in war because they have no food or oil. When Kim dies that will be the end of it hopefully.

Everything will be okay. It doesn't seem like it sometimes, but things are getter better int he world not worse.

  4. Depends how it starts and who starts it, but don't expect it to last longer then a hour.

  5. That sounds about right

  6. Not so sure China would want to get involved. They like their new found capitalism. You may be pretty close on the rest though.

  7. sounds about right

  8. WWIII is a relative term these days.  There aren't any firm alliances, really, that directly oppose each other.  Venezuela?  PLEASE.  Hugo may be an ******, but not a military threat.  NATO?  Against who, other than Russia?  No one!

WWIII, per se, will probably be a strategic nuclear exchange between two of the big powers (Russia vs. the US....or Russia vs. China....or US vs. China) after some conventional skirmish escalates in Taiwan, Siberia, Iran or a former soviet province.

BTW, just under 1000 nuclear weapons have been exploded in the atmosphere (above ground) since 1945.  I don't see any clouds or nuclear winter yet.  Nuclear weapons are bad, yes.  However, they're merely large, radioactive explosives.  We've been brainwashed by the media and liberal ya-hoos to believe that a nuclear war will end all life on the planet forever.  The facts simply do not support such propaganda.

That being said, I do not believe that nuclear weapons should never be used in warfare due to their long-term LOCAL effects of poisoning the area of use for centuries.  It is interesting to note, however, that Hiroshima and Nagasaki are habitable again and were rebuilt not too long after nuclear weapons destroyed them.
